Origins

The Talmud is a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish Law, ethics, customs, and history. It is a central text of Rabbinic Judaism, second only to the Hebrew Bible in importance.

The Gentleman's Talmud will follow the same basic structural principles and importance to daily life, but obviously vary on subject matter and practical application. If we were to define it in the same format as above it would go something like this:

"The Gentleman's Talmud is a record of musings, discussions and observations pertaining to the experiences, customs, principles and history influencing the life of a gentleman. It is a central text of Dude Law, second only to the Bro Code in importance."

The orators behind this blog figured that since girls had a number of misguided texts, a future posting will outline, impugn and eviscerate them at a later date, there is a deep hole that needs to be filled. As a result, we decided that where there is a hole that needs to be filled, it is the obligation of a guy to fill it.

The contents are uncertain. You should look forward to a wide range of viewpoints and postings, both male and female. Fun diagrams and graphs will be an essential backbone of the discourse. Hopefully, high and low brow discussions will be stoked amongst the masses. Until then..."Go in peace. Serve the Gentleman."
